My oh my…I dont think I have enough room to write all I want to about this wedding. First off it was in Linville Falls, shooting weddings in the mountains of NC doesn’t feel like work…it feels like vacation to me. Katie and Ryan booked me a VERY long time ago. They were referred to me by Katie’s bff (who is also a photographer and owns soulshine photography). Katie is one of the most laid back people you will ever meet and Ryan is a true sweetheart. I think the rest I would like to say would be best understood if narrated by the pictures below.
The first look – I can not recommend a first look enough! There is way more time to get creative and get TONS of great shots if there is a block of time scheduled for it before the rush of the wedding sets in.

I want to blow this next one up and put it in my house or something…is that weird ?

Bird cage veil- yes

They got married in the CUTEST little country church. Her family attends this church and I fell IN LOVE with it!

Fresh breath without messing up the lips

Ah…the family. This shot was completely unscripted. I walked in on this one. This is Katie’s mom and dad…a fabulous example of marriage, AND they are a riot!

Katie and her dad have a secret handshake they have been doing since she was little. When he gave her away, they did the handshake. I was jealous…I totally wanted one of these when I was little.

Earlier I mentioned her family was a riot…well during family pictures they whipped these babies out and surprised Ryan and Katie =)

A friend of the bride and Groom, Brian Seeley, catered the wedding for them. What’s the big deal you ask?

He made all the food on THIS and drove it to the mountains!!

At the close of the reception, Ryan sang to Katie. It was Adam Sandler’s “I want to grow old with you” – So darn sweet!

Well you two! I dont think I need to say that I had a BLAST photographing your wedding for you. In fact I will be sending the adoption papers to your family next week, k? or maybe I could be an auntie to your babies or something….think about it.
